Description
COMPOSITION PER DOSE:
Live Newcastle virus CL/79 clon ≥ 10⁶.⁵ EID₅₀.
The use of cloned strains represents a major advancement in live avian vaccines against Newcastle disease. This ensures a completely uniform vaccine virus population with defined characteristics regarding pathogenicity, minimal post-vaccination reactions, absence of neutralization by passively acquired antibodies, and strong immunogenic activity.
HIPRAVIAR CLON can be administered to all types of poultry without secondary reactions and with minimal interference from maternal antibodies. Consequently, the active immunity conferred is longer lasting than conventional Newcastle disease vaccines.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE:
Ocular-nasal, oral, or spray.
Ocular-nasal: Once the freeze-dried tablet is dissolved in the included sterile distilled water, administer one drop of the vaccine (0.03 ml) per bird, in the eye or nare, using a standard dropper (normally 30 ml per 1,000 doses).
Oral: Dissolve the freeze-dried tablet by filling the flask to half its volume with fresh tap water, shake, and pour it into a suitable container containing drinking water that can be consumed within ½ to 1 hour. Approximate water quantities per 1,000 birds:
– 1 to 3 weeks: 5–10 litres
– 4 to 9 weeks: 12–23 litres
– 10 to 16 weeks: 27–37 litres
Spray: Validate the apparatus to check the required amount of water. Fill with fresh tap water and spray over the birds so that their heads are covered with droplets. The amount of water used will determine the dilution volume for the vaccine.
DOSAGE:
Poultry: 1 dose per bird.
The veterinary surgeon will determine the most appropriate vaccination programme according to farm health conditions.
– Birds can be vaccinated 1 day after hatching in endemic areas of Newcastle disease.
– If the number of birds does not coincide with the available vial doses, administer an overdose—never less than the recommended dosage.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
0 days.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
None.
OBSERVATIONS:
– Ensure that vaccine water is ingested within ½ to 1 hour at most.
– Avoid giving water for 1 hour before vaccination in summer and for 2 hours in winter.
– For spray administration, use coarse spray (>50 microns) for first vaccinations; finer droplets (<50 microns) for revaccinations.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
– Shake gently until the freeze-dried tablet is completely resuspended before administration.
– Do not use chlorinated or disinfected water for oral administration.
– Spray administration requires a protective mask and goggles.
– Store at +2°C to +8°C, protected from light.
– Dispose of used materials by boiling, incineration, or immersion in an approved disinfectant.
