Description
COMPOSITION PER DOSE (2 ML):
Sufficient amount of toxoids and anacultures to obtain in control animals:
– Clostridium chauvoei: 100% protection
– Clostridium perfringens (Types B, C and D): ≥ 10 IU of beta antitoxin/ml of serum and ≥ 5 IU of epsilon antitoxin/ml of serum
– Clostridium novyi Type B: ≥ 3.5 IU of alpha antitoxin/ml of serum
– Clostridium septicum: ≥ 2.5 IU of alpha antitoxin/ml of serum
– Clostridium tetani: ≥ 2.5 IU of antitoxin/ml of serum
Problems caused by Clostridium infections are becoming more common in farm animals, since these microorganisms are generally found in a saprophytic form in the environment and in the intestines of most animals. Under favorable conditions (such as sudden dietary changes, excess protein, or prolonged antibiotic treatments), these microorganisms can multiply rapidly, and their toxins are absorbed through the intestinal mucosa, causing toxaemia.
TOXIPRA PLUS contains purified toxins and cell antigens, duly inactivated and adjuvanted, resulting in a product that induces high levels of specific antibodies and antitoxins—ideal for the control of different types of clostridiosis.
